Reviews
I picked up this matcha powder from a little Japanese shop in SF near my office since all my go-to brands (like Rocky’s, MK, and Ippodo) were sold out. Honestly, I was surprised by how good this one is—super umami-rich and really high quality. It totally exceeded my expectations!
I use it for baking, and when mixed into sponge cake batter, it creates a beautifully vibrant green color. You can really taste the rich matcha flavor as well.
When used as a filling together with cream, it brings out its sweetness and deep flavor even more. I highly recommend it!
The matcha is of such high quality that you can truly taste the authentic Uji matcha! It also has a smooth, pleasant aftertaste. For a matcha latte, I recommend using oat milk instead of regular milk.
